Chuck Ermisch Golf Design, LLC was established in 1998 by its principal, Mr. Chuck Ermisch. Chuck has been involved in various components of the golf industry since 1992. Over this span of time, Chuck has worked with noted golf course designers Don Sechrest, Tom Watson, and Nick Faldo. He has also deepened his knowledge of the industry by working golf course maintenance positions and has been involved in the building and construction management of golf course facilities on a national basis.
Chuck places an emphasis on “natural design” and his philosophies have always been to work from the outside in to take advantage of the natural landscapes as much as possible by implementing them into the design of the course. Chuck believes that the golf experience is enhanced as a result of the tie-ins that occur between the created and the existing landscapes and the beauty of the golf course is defined by how successful this transition is. This philosophy is incorporated in both new design and renovation projects.
Currently, Chuck is involved in several projects at various stages. Aside from the Carrington project, he has recently finished assisting Faldo Design in the development of Cottonwood Hills in Hutchinson, Kansas. Mr. Nick Edmund, Vice President of Faldo Design is quoted as saying that “Chuck is a very knowledgeable and talented individual who is clearly determined to become one of the premier golf course designers in the United States.”
Chuck has also just signed on to provide design and consulting services for projects located in Mexico and Belize and is in negotiations with clients in Canada, China, India, Spain, and Vietnam. He is also pursuing several domestic projects at this time.
